Branded Program Assists Export Growth of Chicago Supplier

In 2017, The Edlong Corporation, located in Chicago, Illinois, in the 8th Congressional District, participated in Food Export’s Branded Program that helped them gain over $2,400,000 in new export sales to Canada, Australia, and Germany.

This past February, the Illinois Supplier was able to report these new sales and also projected to complete over $2,500,000 in sales over the next twelve months while also making 19 new foreign contacts and gaining 1 new agent relationship.

The Edlong Corporation has utilized the Market Access Program funded Branded Program since 1997. Edlong has also participated in Food Export Focused Trade Missions, Food Show PLUS!® show services, webinars and the Online Product Catalog.
Edlong is a producer of premium dairy and dairy-free flavors in the food and beverage market segment.

Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products. As these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
