Illinois Supplier Increases Exports with Food Export-Midwest Branded Program

In 2017, Chicago American Sweets & Snacks Inc. (formerly Brandventure Group), located in Chicago, Illinois, in the 5th Congressional District, participated in Food Export’s Branded Program. The Market Access Program (MAP) funded program helped them make 9 new foreign contacts and gain one new agent relationship in Sweden. In February, the supplier was able to report projected sales of $30,000 anticipated over the next twelve months.

The Illinois Supplier has utilized the MAP funded Branded Program since 2009. Chicago American Sweets & Snacks Inc. has also participated in Food Export’s Market Builder, the Food Export Helpline®, Focused Trade Missions, webinars and the Online Product Catalog.

Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products. As these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
