Pennsylvania Supplier Increases Exports to Saudi Arabia

by Food Export | Jul 19, 2018
In 2017, Knouse Foods, Inc., located in Peach Glen, Pennsylvania, in the 4th Congressional District, applied for funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) funded Branded Program with Food Export. They were accepted into the program where they were eligible to receive 50% cost reimbursement for a wide variety of international marketing activities to assist companies in breaking into new markets.

In January of 2018, the Pennsylvania Supplier reported that utilization of their MAP allocated funds helped them achieve sales of their food ingredient, dairy related products and bakery products to Saudi Arabia of $470,000 with $400,000 more of projected export sales over the next twelve months.

Knouse Foods is a family of 1,500 men and women working together to provide the highest quality fruit products for their customers, opportunities for our employees, and services to our community. At the heart of their family is a partnership with the growers who own the company.

This cooperative includes fruit growers along the Appalachian Mountains and throughout the Midwest. Together, they have worked to bring you fruit products that meet the highest standard of all.

Working with Food Export since 2016 they have participated in the Branded Program, the Online Product Catalog and Food Show PLUS!™ services.

Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products. As these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
