Illinois Supplier Gains Market Share in China

by Food Export | Aug 07, 2018
TEFCO, an Illinois based Supplier utilized Food Export’s Market Access Program (MAP) funded Branded Program to increase their market share in China in 2017. While already exporting their Oat Milk product to Taiwan with great success, last year TEFCO focused on expanding their product export to other countries in Asia.

Utilizing funds to advertise in the market, ship samples and make label modifications helped the Illinois Supplier gain over $4,000 in new export sales to China while also projecting $250,000 in sales over the next twelve months.

TEFCO has been a Food Export participant since 2015 taking part in the Branded Program, participating in the Online Product Catalog, Market Builder, webinars and Buyer Missions.

Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products. As these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
