Focused Trade Mission Participant Gains Exports to Hong Kong

by Food Export | Aug 27, 2018
In August of 2017, Amlat, LLC from Madison, Wisconsin participated in Food Export’s Focused Trade Mission to Hong Kong for Retail, Food Service and Healthy Products. During the Mission Amlat was part of a Market Briefing presented by local USDA Foreign Agricultural Service, a local retail store tour, a tour of the Hong Kong Food Expo and one-on-one Buyer/Supplier meetings.

As a result of the meetings, this past February the Wisconsin Supplier was able to report sales of $40,000 of their dairy related products while also projecting $180,000 more in sales over the next twelve months. This is also in conjunction with the company gaining 10 new foreign buyer relationships because of their mission participation.

Amlat, LLC produces Wisconsin Natural and Wisconsin Original Cheese varieties crafted by Wisconsin Licensed Cheesemakers and graded by U.S. and Wisconsin Graders to ensure exceptional and consistent quality. The company has utilized Food Export programs since 2015 participating in Focused Trade Missions, webinars, and the Online Product Catalog.
