Craft Brewery Finds New Export Market in Pacific Through Buyers Mission

In August 2017, Minhas Craft Brewery, located in Monroe, Wisconsin, in the 2nd Congressional District, attended the 2017 Midwest Buyers Mission. During the mission, the craft brewery met with buyers from Europe, Southeast Asia, and Latin America.

In March of 2018, Minhas Craft Brewery, made a sale worth $12,000 to Fiji. This sale also marks the first time that the company has made a sale to this market. The company reports that there are projected sales of $50,000 over the next twelve months with this new Fiji buyer.

Minhas Brewery is a producer of alcoholic beverages including beer, spirits and wine. They have brands available for export and also offer private label in all categories.. The brewery also makes a line of soft drinks called Blumers Old Fashioned Soda. For four years they have utilized Food Export programs and services such as attending Buyers Missions and using the Food Export Helpline. New business has been established from each of these buyers mission they have attended.

Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products. As these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
