Continued Export Growth for Pennsylvania Supplier

by Food Export | Oct 04, 2018
In 2017, The Bacon Jams, from West Chester, Pennsylvania, participated in Food Export’s Market Access Program (MAP) funded Branded Program. This was the third year the company participated in the program.

Utilizing their allocated funds to focus on growing their exports to Canada, The Bacon Jams used the funding to make label/package modifications, create promotional literature and ship samples to the market.

This past February the Pennsylvania Supplier was able to report the MAP funding helped them achieve $9,000 in new export sales to Canada and gain 9 new foreign buyer contacts.

The Bacon Jams produces three flavors of meat spread made from bacon: All Original, Red Chile & Garlic, and Black Pepper which they already supply across the United States.

Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products. As these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
