Expanding Exports Into Canada

by Food Export | Jan 10, 2019
Utilizing the Market Access Program (MAP) funded Food Export - Midwest Branded Program since 2014 has helped Delphos, Ohio based Lakeview Farms grow their brand name and export sales to Canada. Wanting to maintain and grow their business in Canada through demos, trade shows and marketing activities Lakeview Farms has continued to use the program to get the best return on their promotional investments.

Most recently through 2017-2018, Lakeview Farms utilized the Branded Program to help showcase their products to the trade in Canada. In particular, the program allowed them to invest more in product demos in key Canadian retailers.  Along with demos, they exhibited at Grocery Innovations show in Toronto.  This helped them introduce some innovative products into the market.

Lakeview Farms saw an increase in overall sales in Canada of 10% from 2017-2018.  According to Ernie Williams, Business Development Manager into Canada, “The Branded Program has helped us build the business in the Canadian market and get loyalty from Canadian consumers.”

Started in 1998, Lakeview Farms, LLC strives to be the value-driven innovator of fresh and convenient dips, desserts, and specialty products. Their brands include Salad of the Seas, Señor Rico, and Luisa’s.  For more information visit:
