Education for Export Success

by Food Export | Jan 11, 2019
In 2018 Advanced Sunflower LLC from Huron, South Dakota focused on educating themselves for exporting. They utilized Food Export Midwest’s Export Essentials to learn about free trade agreements, commercial export documentation, international terms of sale and specific international markets.

This education helped them prepare to attend the 2018 SIAL Paris tradeshow where they utilized Food Export’s Food Show PLUS!™ services to gain market insight, utilize on sight show services and translation assistance.

The South Dakota Supplier is also part of the Market Access Program (MAP) funded Branded Program this year to help defer costs of attending trade shows and shipping product samples.

Advanced Sunflower
is a value-added processing company that specializes in marketing edible sunflower and bird food products.

We look forward to hearing about their earned export success this upcoming year!

Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products. As these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
