Export Sales to Japan Through Branded Program

Based in Hillside, New Jersey, Karmalize, LLC is a producer/supplier of gourmet nut butters, seeds, nuts and organic superfoods.

With the help of Food Export - Northeast’s Market Access Program funded Branded Program, in 2018 the New Jersey Supplier utilized their allocated funds to explore the Japanese market for export opportunities. Using their funds to attend a USDA AgriBusiness Trade Mission to Japan helped gain product exposure and also learn about the market trends and demographics.

Post mission Karmalize was able to report gaining 15 new foreign buyer contacts, 1 new agent relationship and $250,000 in export sales while also projected $200,000 more in sales over the next twelve months.

New to Food Export in 2016, Karmalize, LLC participates in the Online Product Catalog, Buyers Missions and Focused Trade Missions. This small business gives back to the community by sharing 50% of their profits from purchases to the cause/charity of choice. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service.
