Growing Exports With Market Access Program Funding

Formed in 2004 by combining the experiences of several individuals with diverse backgrounds in many areas of the equine industry including nutrition, training, marketing, sales and business, Prime Performance Nutrition started in order to provide quality products that are effective and have the highest standards in the equine industry, as the equine industry is constantly changing through new discoveries in nutrition and physiology and the through the utilization of feeds from all over the world. Prime Performance Nutrition’s goal is to provide cutting edge nutrition based on the industry’s changing needs.

Utilizing Food Export – Midwest’s Branded Program in 2018 helped Prime Performance Nutrition, from Cosby, Missouri, gain new export sales to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Utilizing their allocated funds create video product segments helped the supplier expand the benefits of their equine products to the market.

With the promotion of their animal probiotics and supplements Prime Performance Nutrition gained 4 new foreign buyer contacts, earned 2 new agent relationships while also earning $100,000 in new export sales to the two markets. The Missouri Supplier also projects to complete $175,000 in sales over the next twelve months.  

Participating in Food Export’s Branded Program since 2004 Prime Performance Nutrition has used the program to grow their exports in many international markets including the United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and South America. They also are part of Food Export’s Online Product Catalog.

Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products. As these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
