The Orange Cheese Company began working with Food Export in 2014 taking part of the Market Access Program (MAP) funded Branded Program and attending Focused Trade Missions to China, Hong Kong and South Korea.
Since participating in the Food Export programs, they have made their first export sale and have had continued success with their exports into the various regions of China.
Most recently in 2018 their utilization of the
Branded Program helped them defer costs while using their allocated funds to attend Food & Hotel China, Bakery China, and the SIAL China trade shows, while also participating in a Food Export Focused Trade Mission to Shanghai, Chengdu, and Shenzhen. These events helped the Connecticut Supplier gain 40 new foreign buyer contacts in China and Hong Kong while also gaining $1,000,000 in sales to China and $50,000 to Hong Kong.
Food Export uses funding from the
Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products. As these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the
USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
