Kansas Company Continues to Create Partnerships

by Food Export | Mar 19, 2019
J & J Group LLC doing business as Rufus Teague out of Shawnee, Kansas, in the 3rd Congressional District, has utilized Food Export - Midwest’s Branded Program to make an impact in Switzerland and Mexico. With the assistance of the program, in 2018 Rufus Teague had continued sales with Switzerland and a first-time market sale to Mexico. In Switzerland and Mexico, they introduced themselves to new buyers and created partnerships to increase their sales. This assisted in securing a sale of $25,000 worth of barbeque sauce and spices to Switzerland and $5,500 in sales to Mexico.

Rufus Teague’s Sauce has sure come a long way. Starting from stirring it in a ol’ pot in a family kitchen to winning competitions all over the place this sauce has stayed the same throughout the years. This company lives by the saying, “Good sauce makes bad barbeque good and good barbeque gooder”. Their sweet, Kansas City barbeque sauces have names such as Honey Sweet, Smoky Apple and Whiskey Maple. They also offer a variety of award-winning Meat Rubs. No matter your favorite flavor, Rufus Teague has you covered with their diverse varieties.

In 2019, Rufus Teague plans on expanding their market presence in Switzerland. They plan on using funds allocated through the Branded Program to increase their advertising through social media and in-store displays. In the past, Rufus Teague has been able to secure sales in other countries such as New Zealand, United Kingdom, and Canada with Market Access Program (MAP) funding assistance.

The Kansas Supplier has participated in Food Export programs since 2010 being part of the Market Access Program (MAP) funded Branded Program, the Online Product Catalog, the Food Export Helpline™, and U.S. Foodlink Newsletter. For more information on the company visit:
