by Food Export | Jul 11, 2019
The Lobster Trap Co., Inc. is hooking sales in Europe and Asia after utilizing Food Export – Northeast’s Market Access Program (MAP) funded Branded Program.

In 2018, the Lobster Trap utilized Food Export’s 50% cost reimbursement program to help with international marketing expenses at several international tradeshows. These shows included Seafood Expo Global, China Fisheries Seafood Expo, Seafood Expo Asia, and Seafood Expo North America. As a result of participating at the shows with the help of the Branded Program, the Lobster Trap Co. collectively gained sales in Belgium, China, and Hong Kong of nearly $13 million.

The Lobster Trap Co. located Bourne, Massachusetts, is bringing live lobster from North Atlantic waters to your door. They currently ship internationally to Canada, Europe, and Asia. The Lobster Trap was established nearly 50 years ago growing from a small local seafood provider to an international wholesaler and retailer distributor.

The Massachusetts Supplier has utilized Food Export’s Branded Program since 2010 and has also used Food Show PLUS!™ show services, participated in webinars, and the Market Builder program.

Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products. As these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
