Wellesley, Massachusetts based Farmwise LLC DBA Healthy Life Brands was founded in 2013 by a family who was searching for healthy and delicious food for their daughters. They experimented with over 300 recipes to create a healthier version of french fries, tater tots and rings blending them with their favorite vegetables making a tasty nutrition treat.
In 2018
Farmwise LLC DBA Healthy Life Brands participated in Food Export - Northeast’s Market Access Program funded Branded Program where, after qualifying, they were able to receive 50% cost reimbursement for expenses associated to international product promotion. Utilizing their allocated funds to complete in-store sampling events in Mexico and Canada helped the Massachusetts company gained momentum for their brand in the markets.
At the end of 2018, Farmwise was able to report over $30,000 in new export sales to Canada, $3,800 in new export sales to Mexico, while also projecting sales of $21,000 to Canada and $4,300 to Mexico over the next twelve months.
Participating in Food Export programs since 2015, Farmwise LLC DBA Healthy Life Brands has utilized the Branded Program, attended the 2018 Northeast Buyers Mission in Boston, the Specialty Food Buyers Mission at the Summer Fancy Food Show, and has products listed in the Online Product Catalog.
Food Export uses funding from the
Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products. As these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the
USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
