Chicago Area Export Management Company Shows Continued Growth Through Branded Program

by Food Export | Dec 18, 2019
EquiTrade Group is an exclusive export management company for many American brands, with a primary focus on introducing American food brands to Latin American countries. Domestically, the company serves several manufacturers in market segments such as ready meals/prepared meals, dairy, bakery products, and more.

From farm to manufacturer and beyond, Equitrade Group has continued their growth in the Latin American market through successful brand promotion via Food Export - Midwest’s Branded Program.

Since 2000, EquiTrade Group has been a prosperous Branded Program participant, and that growth continued in 2018 where they reported $800,000 in new export sales to Mexico.  The Illinois Supplier also reported projected sales of $1.2M over the next 12 months.  In addition to these excellent sales numbers, EquiTrade Group also announced a new agent partnership in the Mexican market while utilizing their allocated Market Access Program (MAP) funds.

EquiTrade has also participated in various Food Export Buyers Missions, Focused Trade Missions, the Online Product Catalog, and the Food Export Helpline™ over the years, and stands as a great example of how to effectively utilize Food Export’s wide array of services.

Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products. As these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
